TDA Dissed in SF
Geez, We're used to the occasional dumb comments from the press in other places, but it's a drag to get it from our hometown. Especially if it's not very clever. At least when our dear friend Herb Caen used to give us a plug and a rib, he did it with style and wit. He was a true SF treasure. We miss you Herb!

He's edited his original post in response to this one. What did he say about TDA!?
Here's the original text that went with the photo. He is suggesting it's odd that some people like TDA. No big deal, but a diss is a diss!
"Would have to say the patrons won this one, as they outlasted the accordion player, who performed for no one in particular while standing atop a soapbox on Herb Caen Way.
But some people like those darn accordions. Go figure."
One might think "the diss" is inherent in the name of the outfit in question, along the lines of Disney's "That Darn Cat" or something.
In any event, any such diss was removed, not to travel down the memory hole (the way any reference to somebody's mistake about Mark Morford was deleted), just to end the dissing.
Touchy touchy.
Incidentally, Mark Morford = press, SFCitizen = blog.
Well, any press and all that. I haven't seen any street accordion players here in Kentucky, but we've got a bourbon festival coming up next month. I'll take what I can get.
